Almost there.
We're getting really close on the next version of Thwipster and I wanted to share an email that we sent out to beta subscribers.
What is Thwipster?
Thwipster is a marketplace for all things entertainment.
Uh, so what exactly does that mean?
Think of going to San Diego Comic-Con. You’ve got people selling collectible toys, video games, original artwork, comics, collectibles, t-shirts, etc. What we’re doing is taking that same awesome community of people and giving them a place to buy and sell all of those amazing things.
So who can sell on Thwipster?
Anyone can. It can be something you made yourself, something your company makes or something you no longer want. The only thing is it has to fit in this umbrella of ‘entertainment’. Meaning no you can’t sell that old lamp from the 70’s.
It sounds a little like Ebay/Etsy.
It actually is a little like Ebay/Etsy. Like Ebay, you can sell that old Dreamcast taking up space in your closet.* And like Etsy, you can sell those hand-crocheted Dr. Who scarves that you enjoy giving out to friends during the holidays.\n\nSo that’s Thwipster in a nutshell! Please send your friends, family & loved ones to go sign up for our launch.
Best!

*Unlike Ebay we’re actually huge fans of this 'entertainment' stuff and not a public corporation that doesn’t care. Etsy, on the other hand, is awesome!
