1. When did you first start writing?

With the Nightly News. I was frustrated with the scripts I was getting to draw and so I decided that I should write for myself. Seemed to work out okay.

2. What is the work you are most proud of?

I think Pax Romana remains the thing that I'm happiest with after completion. Nightly News is up there.

3. What are you working on now?

Right now I'm working on Fantastic Four and proofing art for my newest miniseries THE RED WING.

4. Was there anyone that had or has a huge influence on your work?

The usual suspects: Grant Morrison, Warren Ellis, Bendis. I'm also a pretty big fan of Keith Giffen.

5. What kind of tools/software do you use?

I write in FINAL DRAFT. When I'm creating art I use traditional analog tools as well as PHOTOSHOP, PAINTER and ILLUSTRATOR. I package things together in INDESIGN.

6. Favorite collaborators?

Steve Epting, Dustin Weaver... I'm working with Esad Ribic and Greg Tocchini right now and they are amazing. The artist I work with on my indy work NICK PITARRA is pretty great as well.

7. Favorite Fictional Character?

Duncan Idaho.

8. Star Wars or Star Trek?

Star Trek.

9. What do you think of Stephen Tobolowsky?

I think he usually makes me laugh.

10. Bread?

Milk.
